Naturally fed, the lake dates back to the 1600s and resident stock has never been added to it. Indeed, the prolific growth rate of some species in the enriched environment has meant that fish have been removed from time to time. The reed-fringed three acre pool has depths that range from 18 feet to only 18 inches, giving plenty of all year-round potential. The wild carp, some almost black in colour, take-off at a phenomenal rate, so keep an eye on your rod at all times.
