The complex lies in the culm valley, over looked by the magnificent Blackbrough Hills. These hills provide the source of the River Ken, which feeds the lake and the stews. This river maintains its flow even during the drought conditions of recent summers, so there have never been any problems with oxygen depletion during hot weather. Willow Lake is one acre in size and is 8 years old. The depth varies from 16 feet to around ten feet, the banks are beautifully landscaped.

- Stocking Policy
- The lake is stocked on a daily basis with rainbows, browns and tigers with what comes out goes back in, the fish are stocked at around 2 1/2 lb to 3 1/2 lb average with a few larger examples up to 10lb+
