Moorhen Trout Fishery

Moorhen Trout Fishery is set in the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of the renowned Meon Valley in Hampshire. Within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the fishery is situated in the picturesque village of Warnford on the A32 and within easy reach of Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton.

The 3 acre lake is fed by natural springs and is adjacent to the River Meon. Regularly re-stocked, the crystal clear water is full of lively and healthy rainbow trout ranging from 2 - 20lbs. With generous stock, strategically placed swims, mown lawns and views across open countryside Moorhen Trout Fishery is guaranteed to provide an excellent days fly fishing in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Easily accessible car parking, a recently modernised lodge, toilet facilities and the opportunity to purchase light refreshments are available on site.

Opening Hours

Open all year except Christmas Day and New Year's Day and closed the FIRST Monday of every month. Open from 8am until 7pm or just before dark, whichever comes earliest.

Fish

Rainbow trout, Blue and Brown Trout (Catch & Release only).

Stocking Policy

Stocked regularly with good fighting trout between 2 and 20lbs.

Day tickets

Catch & Keep Tickets are available from £17 - £40. Catch & Keep tickets plus Catch & Release are available from £36 - £49.

Other tickets

A limited amount of Annual Catch & Release Tickets are available at £400.

Rules

Barbless hooks must be used on all Catch & Release Ticket options. All fishermen and spectators must wear eye protection.
