The 12 acre lake is adjacent to the main building and fishing rights belong to the hotel. Since 1994 when Gwernan Lake was taken over by it's present owners, the lake has been regularly stocked with rainbow trout. Wild brown trout also breed here for the lake is natural and food is plentiful.
