Cowpe Reservoir is an exclusive 16.5 acre trout water with spectacular views over the surrounding landscape. Fed by three clear moorland streams the water is of crystal clear drinking quality. Cowpe Reservoir has been stocked to the optimum level for high quality trout fishing. The water already has an indigenous head of brownies stocked over three decades ago. There is even a head of Blue Trout, which fight even harder than the standard Rainbows and produce rapid takes and aerobatic fights.

- Stocking Policy
- The stock fish are Triploid Rainbow Trout with an average weight of 2lbs to 5lbs. They are fin perfect, hard fighting and their colour is a sight to behold.
- Day tickets
- A limited number of day tickets are available each week. All visitors should purchase a day membership ticket before commencing fishing. Tickets are available from Mace Express Newsagents, 63 Burnley Rd East, Waterfoot, telephone number 01706 214892.
- Rules
- Barb-less fly fishing only. The use of bubble floats is prohibited. A landing net must be used to land any fish.
