Rivers Ribble, Calder & Hodder
Mitton road, Great Mitton, near Whalley, Lancashire, BB7 9PQThe Mitton Beat is a mixed fishery on the River Ribble near Clitheroe, and specific rules apply. The beat is divided into three sections A, B and C. These sections are listed on the day permit and state the limits and methods that may be used within these areas. The 1.5-mile stretch features many fast runs and deep pools. As well as Salmon and Sea Trout the beat offers excellent Grayling and Brown Trout Fishing, along with good sport for Chub fishing in the winter months. Many Dace and the occasional Barbel can be found to tempt the visiting coarse angler. The Rivers Calder and Hodder, being the main tributaries join the River Ribble in the Agency?s stretch creating superb holding areas for Salmon and Sea Trout.
