Washburn Valley (Fewston, Swinsty and Thruscross reservoirs)
Timble Village, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG3 4AJFewston, Swinsty and Thruscross reservoirs offer exceptional quality trout fishing in a stunning rural setting. The area is easily accessible from the Yorkshire Dales, Harrogate and Leeds. Each reservoir has at least one car park and toilet facilities are available at Swinsty Moor next to the fishing office.
At Swinsty and Fewston there are 310 acres of water stocked with 1-4lb Rainbow Trout. Both reservoirs are part of the water supply system and the level of water can vary considerably, especially at Fewston. This and the size of the waters compared with many other fisheries will test the skill of the angler.
Further north, set in a wilder remote setting, is Thruscross reservoir. With 140 acres of water, Thruscross is a superb wild brown trout (catch and return) fly fishery.
